Here are quite a few Winamp Skins I made. For those not familiar with Winamp skins, they "cover" your Winamp player to change the look. Anyone with a Winamp 1.8 or newer can use these or any other Winamp skins.
All of my skins have Equalizer, Playlist Editor, Equalizer WindowShade and MiniBrowser files in complementing colors. I have a few dozen more I'm working on or have yet to upload, especially Kate Bush skins.
Disclaimer #1!!
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not an artist, a graphics designer or even particularly creative. I have no useful artistic skills, but I do like to play around with colors and images. I make no claims that they're going to knock anyone out with their creative genius. They are what they are. If you think my skins aren't original or artistic enough, that's fair. Go make some skins yourself, or go download someone else's skins.
If you like them anyway, thank you. I make mine because I like the subject matters and I have fun playing around with the various components. I use Wizards to get me started, but every skin of mine is worked on in an attempt to make them unique. I make them for myself, but if other people like them, that makes me happy.
Perhaps they'll inspire others to make better skins. That would be fine with me, because I'd like to see them too.
Disclaimer # 2!!
It's very common for my skins to be "missing" seemingly important parts, such as the Balance bar or the Volume slider. Also, very few of my skins name the buttons, such as "Play" or "Shuffle". I make my skins for myself, first and foremost, and to me, the image is the thing. I don't make a Kate Bush Winamp skin just to have a big old ugly Balance bar slider obscure her face. Everything is done for a reason, and if the buttons are small, missing or otherwise weird, take a look at the picture and you'll almost always see why I did it that way. If you're not familiar with where and what the various Winamp skin buttons are and are for, go to http://www.winamp.com and get some "normal" ones to learn. Another option is turning on the "tooltips" option in Preferences/Options/Display. Hover your mouse over an unmarked button and the tooltip will show up telling you what it is. Another option is to just push it and see what happens. If readable buttons are what you want, you definitely don't want any of my skins. Sorry. There are thousands of Winamp skins out there for you. Mine are (generally) specifically for fans of the particular musical artist/movie who don't mind the obscure buttons, because the image is the thing for them too.
Tip for missing parts: Areas that are supposed to have something that isn't there are still "hot" so, say if there is no Balance bar, if you click your mouse on where you know the balance area to be, it will change the balance, even without a button. No skin actually *needs* buttons as long as the person using it knows where the hot areas are. However, I wouldn't recommend anyone else doing what I do. Buttons are good! Identified buttons are even better, even though I don't do it.These are available as zip files if anyone wants to use them. Make a sub-directory in your Winamp directory called Skins. Just click on any of the pictures to download that skin's zipfile into that Skins directory. Fire up your Winamp, click on the upper left-hand corner of the Winamp and go down to Options. When the 2nd window pops up, go to Skin Browser. When the Skin Browser pops up, click on Set Skins Directory and choose the directory called Skins. You don't have to unzip these files, just put the zip files straight into the Skins directory. Winamp should show the skins anyway, and when you click on one of the zip files (when you're in the Skins Browser) you'll see the look of your Winamp change.
Tip: A quicker way to call up the Skins browser is to click anywhere on Winamp to make it active, then press Alt S. The Skins broswer will pop right up.
If you want to unzip the files to look at the separate parts of the Skins in a paint program, be sure to put each Skin into its own directory before you unzip them. Just name your directories the same as the skin name (i.e. matrix1, happy4, kate23).
